KARS WINTER CARNIVAL

KARS, ONTARIO

FEBRUARY 16th, 2008

Again this year the weather cooperated, bringing above average temperatures for the 2008 Kars Winter Carnival. 

With a few drivers having missed the event due to the previous weeks cold snap, an early lead in the 2008 points race was prime for the taking.

There was a mix of ODD regulars and newcomers at the event.  Of the regular series drivers were Matt Caswell, Marty Kovacs, Bob Cousineau and David Gravelle.  Some of the new faces included BJ Meiklejohn, Kevin DeJong and Mike Crawford.

When all was said and done it was Bob Cousineau outlasting Marty Kovacs and Mike Crawford for the Pro Series win.  Bob Cousineau and BJ Meiklejohn also scored heat wins, with Danielle Clarry and David Gravelle taking runner up positions.

In the 4 Cyilnder class it was Matt Caswell taking the early points lead by winning the 10 lap barrel race, but Jo Duperron closed the gap significantly  by winning the demo.
